In order to check whether a card being registered with our system is active we will process an authorisation when you sign up.
What is an authorisation charge?
An authorisation charge is a charge which checks whether or not the card being added is active and able to receive automatic charges. These charges never complete and are immediately voided.
Important note:
When you make a purchase from My Food Bag, occasionally the credit card transaction will show as ‘pending’. This means that your bank has authorised the payment but has not yet billed it to your account. Depending on your banks process, it can take as little as a few hours or up to 10 days to bill your account. Please note that ‘pending’ transactions will affect your credit balance immediately as if the amount has already been billed
